DescriptionSummaryWe are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Controller to join our finance team. The Assistant Controller will support the Controller in managing the accounting operations of the company, including the production of periodic financial reports, maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records, and a comprehensive set of controls and budgets designed to mitigate risk. This role will also ensure the accuracy of the company's reported financial results and ensure that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
Responsibilities:- Assist in the preparation and analysis of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Oversee the general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll functions.
- Create, implement and ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and procedures.
- Preparation of budgets and forecasts to support financial planning and decision-making.
- Conduct variance analysis and provide insights on financial performance.
- Identify and resolve discrepancies in financial records.
- Assist with the coordination of external reviews/audits and the preparation of reviews/audit schedules.
- Maintain and improve financial systems and processes.
- Provide leadership and guidance to the accounting team.
- Lead the digitalization of the accounting office, including the implementation of new accounting software and technologies to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
