JOB SUMMARY
This position is based on‑site and requires four days per week in the Brea office to support collaboration and business needs.
The Senior Manager, Accounting oversees complex accounting operations and ensures accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting for the business unit. This role leads key components of the month‑end and quarter‑end close, manages high‑risk accounting areas, and maintains a strong internal control environment. As a senior technical resource, the Sr. Manager reviews complex work, resolves non‑routine accounting issues, and ensures consistent application of U.S. GAAP and company policies.
In addition to owning critical workflows, the Sr. Manager strengthens team capabilities by coaching and guiding staff and senior‑level contributors. The role partners closely with FP&A, Operations, Shared Services, and Corporate Accounting to resolve cross‑functional issues, support audits, and drive process improvements.
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead and participate in the month-end close process, including preparation and review of complex journal entries, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring all deliverables comply with U.S. GAAP, country-specific regulatory requirements and corporate standards
Maintain broad working knowledge across all accounting and finance areas to provide coverage, guidance, and issue resolution when needed
Direct, supervise, and review the team’s end-to-end general ledger activities, ensuring high-quality outputs, timely completion, and adherence to established accounting policies
Provide advanced guidance to staff on non‑routine and complex accounting transactions, ensuring proper treatment and documentation
Prepare, review, and analyze financial reports, communicating key insights, risks, and recommendations to management with clarity and accuracy
Manage audit engagements, resolve complex findings, and represent the team to external and internal auditors
Lead cross functional problem solving, direct and contribute in decision making, and represent accounting in inter‑departmental initiatives
Develop, refine, and document accounting processes and procedures to improve accuracy, efficiency, and control across the department
Lead the development and implementation of new systems, procedures, and workflow enhancements, partnering with cross functional teams as needed
Support and oversee special projects and process improvement initiatives, ensuring deliverables are completed effectively and aligned with business priorities
Promote a collaborative, high-performance team culture, fostering strong communication, accountability, and employee engagement
Lead hiring, onboarding, training, and supervision of accounting staff, ensuring the team has the capability and resources to meet operational and reporting requirements
Develop team strategy, set individual goals, mentor high potential employees, and addresses performance issues
Monitor departmental workflow and resource allocation, identifying opportunities to streamline processes while maintaining a high level of accuracy and control
Job Requirements:
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required
CPA strongly preferred; Master’s degree or MBA in Accounting/Finance is a plus
7+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience, including at least 3 years in a multinational U.S. corporation or global accounting firm
Big 4 public accounting experience or equivalent technical foundation 3+ years of demonstrated leadership experience, managing and developing accounting professionals in a fast paced‑ environment
Strong technical knowledge of U.S. GAAP, with proven ability to apply guidance to complex or non‑routine transactions
Hands‑on experience with large, complex ERP systems (SAP or Oracle required)
Experience with HFM (Hyperion Financial Management) or similar consolidation/reporting tools.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including financial modeling and data analysis
Strong organizational and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and deliver high-quality work
In-office role and requires work on-site during core business hours

Target Market Salary Range:
