Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and dynamic General Manager - Restaurant to lead our vibrant dining establishment in Belmont Shore, Long Beach. Responsibilities
- Lead and manage daily restaurant operations, including food preparation, service delivery, and staff supervision.
- Oversee inventory control, food safety compliance, and adherence to hygiene standards to ensure top-quality food management.
- Supervise and train staff on food handling, customer service, POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS, and shift management procedures.
- Manage budgeting, cost control, and cash handling processes to optimize profitability.
- Coordinate kitchen management activities including food production, culinary standards, and catering services.
- Implement staff training and development programs to enhance team skills in hospitality management and food industry best practices.
- Ensure excellent customer service by addressing guest feedback promptly and maintaining high service standards across casual dining, fine dining, banquet events, and bar operations.
- Conduct interviewing and hiring processes for new team members; oversee staff scheduling and performance evaluations.
- Maintain compliance with food safety regulations and promote a culture of cleanliness and safety throughout the restaurant environment.
Experience
- Proven management experience in quick service & Upscale restaurants or casual dining establishments with a strong background in restaurant management.
- Extensive supervisory experience with a focus on team management, training & development, and leadership within the hospitality or food industry.
- Hands-on experience with POS systems such as Toast, familiarity with cash handling procedures.
- Demonstrated ability to manage inventory control, budgeting, and food safety standards effectively.
- Prior experience in fine dining or hotel food service environments is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of kitchen management, culinary techniques, food production processes, catering operations, and bar service is preferred.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interview candidates confidently and foster a positive team culture.
