Urth Caffe Hawthorne is seeking a flexible, hardworking, and inspiring General Manager, Bilingual Spanish, to lead our team in delivering exceptional guest experiences. Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Team Development
- Lead, mentor, and motivate a diverse team to deliver outstanding hospitality and service.
- Recruit, train, and develop team members and supervisors to support long-term growth.
- Foster a positive, collaborative, and high‐performance work environment.
- Model professionalism, accountability, and a strong work ethic.
Operational Management
- Oversee daily caffe operations, including front‐of‐house, back‐of‐house, and bakery coordination.
- Ensure consistent execution of Urth Caffe standards in service, quality, cleanliness, and presentation.
- Manage scheduling, labor costs, and staffing levels to meet business needs.
- Monitor inventory, ordering, and waste control to maintain cost efficiency.
Food Safety & Compliance
- Ensure full compliance with food safety regulations, USDA standards, and local health department requirements, and PPE Equipment and, OSHA compliance.
- Maintain proper documentation, logs, and procedures for inspections and audits.
- Train staff on safe food handling, sanitation, and workplace safety protocols.
- Proactively identify and correct any food safety or compliance issues.
Guest Experience
- Maintain a warm, welcoming environment that reflects Urth Caffe’s commitment to exceptional hospitality.
- Resolve employees and customer concerns with professionalism, empathy, and urgency.
- Monitor and control of inventory, service flow and adjust operations to ensure smooth, efficient customer experiences.
Financial & Business Performance
- Manage budgets, financial reporting, and key performance indicators.
- Drive sales growth through operational excellence, team engagement, and community connection.
- Implement company initiatives, promotions, and new product rollouts.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance profitability.
Qualifications
- 3–5+ years of management experience in a high‐volume restaurant, caffe, or hospitality environment.
- Strong knowledge of food safety, USDA compliance, and health department regulations.
- Proven ability to lead and develop teams in a fast‐paced setting.
- Excellent communication, problem‐solving, and organizational skills.
- Flexible availability, including weekends, holidays, and peak business periods.
- Ability to multitask, stay calm under pressure, and make sound decisions.
