CHAAK Kitchen, located in Old Town Tustin, is a Michelin Bib Gourmand-rated restaurant known for its unique flavors. We are seeking a dedicated Sous Chef to lead morning prep and play a vital role in our future success.
Key Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of professional kitchen experience, with leadership or supervisory roles.

-Excellent Communication & Teamwork: Must work well with FOH management, other chefs, and lead the kitchen team to foster a positive and cohesive team environment.

The Role:
-Inventory Management: Accept and organize deliveries, put food away, and maintain a clean and organized kitchen.
-Prep Plan & Pars: Follow a detailed prep plan and ensure pars are set and maintained.
-Recipe Consistency: Maintain the exact flavors and quality that make CHAAK Kitchen unique.
-Team Leadership: Work closely with the FOH and kitchen teams to create a collaborative, positive, and high-performing atmosphere.
LEAD LINE COOK
In addition, CHAAK is seeking a dedicated Lead Line Cook to join our dynamic team. We specialize in Yucatecan cuisine, bringing authentic Mexican flavors with a modern twist in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
-Lead the kitchen line during service, ensuring efficiency and quality.
-Oversee prep, execution, and plating of dishes, maintaining consistency.
-Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, fostering a culture of teamwork and growth.
-Collaborate with the Head Chef to create seasonal specials and menu innovations.
-Ensure the highest standards of food safety, cleanliness, and organization in the kitchen.
Qualifications:
-Experience in a professional kitchen, with leadership or supervisory roles.
-Knowledge of Mexican cuisine, ingredients, and traditional techniques is a plus.
-Ability to thrive in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
-Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
