Join Our Behavioral Support Team
Home Care Placement is hiring compassionate caregivers to support children, teens, and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities through California’s Self-Determination Program (SDP).
We are looking for caregivers with experience in behavioral support, ABA, RBT work, DSP services, respite care, special education, autism support, or related fields. This role is ideal for someone who is calm under pressure, patient, safety-focused, and passionate about helping clients build independence and confidence.
About the Role
As a Behavioral Support Caregiver, you will provide 1:1 in-home and community-based support for individuals with developmental disabilities and behavioral needs. Care may include emotional regulation support, safety supervision, behavior redirection, ADL assistance, and engagement activities.
Responsibilities
- Support clients with daily living activities including hygiene, dressing, feeding, toileting, and supervision
- Assist with emotional regulation, redirection, transition support, and de-escalation techniques
- Provide safe support in home and community settings
- Assist with sensory activities and engagement-based care
- Document behaviors, incidents, and shift notes accurately
- Communicate professionally with families and care teams
Preferred Experience
- ABA or RBT work
- DSP or respite caregiving
- Autism or behavioral support
- Special education or paraprofessional roles
- Mental or behavioral health support
Candidates should be comfortable supporting individuals who may experience behavioral escalations, emotional dysregulation, elopement risk, sensory-seeking behaviors, or limited safety awareness.

Requirements
- 18+ years old
- Minimum 1 year of relevant caregiving or behavioral support experience
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to pass Live Scan
- Negative TB test
- HCA registration (company-sponsored)
