We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated IT Support Intern to join our IT department. The successful candidate will provide technical support to end-users through a ticketing system while gaining hands-on experience in IT troubleshooting and support operations. This internship offers valuable exposure to real-world IT environments and professional development under the mentorship of our IT Support Lead.
Primary Responsibilities
- Create, manage, and resolve support tickets in the IT ticketing system
- Provide technical troubleshooting support to end-users via phone, email, and in-person
- Diagnose and resolve common hardware and software issues
- Document and track support tickets accurately, including problem description and resolution
- Assist with user account creation, password resets, and access permissions
- Perform basic system maintenance and troubleshooting
- Escalate complex issues to the IT Support Lead or senior technical staff
Required Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a computer science, information technology, or related program
- Strong foundational knowledge of computer hardware and software
- Proficiency with Windows operating systems
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
- Ability to remain calm and problem-solve under pressure
- Reliable and professional demeanor with a willingness to learn
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with IT ticketing systems (Jira, ServiceNow, Zendesk, or similar)
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite
- Basic networking knowledge
- Experience with Active Directory or user management systems
- Previous internship or entry-level IT support experience
