Responsibilities
- Oversee daily chemical manufacturing operations, ensuring production targets are met efficiently and safely.
- Manage production planning and scheduling using ERP systems such as SAP to align resources with demand forecasts.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives by applying lean manufacturing techniques to reduce waste, streamline processes, and enhance product quality.
- Coordinate supply chain activities, including inventory management, procurement, and logistics, utilizing supply chain analytics for optimal decision-making.
- Supervise plant management functions, including maintenance, safety protocols, and compliance with environmental regulations.
- Drive process improvements through regular review of manufacturing workflows and implementation of best practices in process optimization.
- Ensure rigorous quality control standards are maintained throughout all stages of production while adhering to industry regulations.
Skills
- Extensive experience in production management within a manufacturing or chemical environment.
- Proficiency with ERP systems such as SAP and MRP (Material Requirements Planning) for effective production scheduling and resource planning.
- Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing principles, process improvement methodologies, and continuous improvement strategies.
- Mechanical knowledge relevant to plant equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
