Position Summary:
Purpose and Scope
The Director of Information Technology is responsible for defining and executing Rexair’s technology strategy with a strong emphasis on web‑based platforms, business applications, and digital enablement for field sales teams and distributor networks.
This role focuses on leveraging modern, cloud‑based, and web‑driven solutions to improve customer engagement, distributor effectiveness, data visibility, and business scalability. Infrastructure operations also are supported and governed but are not the primary focus of this position.
The Director serves as a strategic partner to Finance, Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Executive Leadership, ensuring technology investments directly support revenue growth, operational efficiency, and long‑term digital transformation.The Director also works directly with the IT Team to ensure success of all assigned goals.
This position reports directly to the CEO.
Key Responsibilities
Digital & Web Platform Leadership
- Provide strategic leadership for web‑based business applications, including portals, dealer/distributor systems, sales enablement platforms, and customer‑facing digital tools.
- Oversee the design, development, integration, and ongoing optimization of digital platforms supporting field sales, distributors, and partners.
- Ensure web platforms are scalable, secure, user‑friendly, and aligned with business objectives.
Sales & Distributor Enablement
- Partner closely with Sales and Marketing leadership to deliver technological solutions that improve:
- Field sales productivity
- Distributor engagement and self‑service
- Data accuracy, reporting, and decision‑making
- Support CRM, ERP, and e‑commerce integrations that enable end‑to‑end visibility from order creation through fulfillment and service.
Business Applications & Integration
- Own the strategy and lifecycle for enterprise business applications, including ERP, CRM, financial systems, and third‑party SaaS platforms.
- Lead system integration efforts to ensure data flows cleanly between internal platforms, distributors, and external partners.
- Evaluate and recommend new technologies, platforms, and vendors that align with Rexair’s digital roadmap.
Governance, Security & Risk Management
- Ensure the security, integrity, and availability of company systems, applications, and data.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally to define IT policies, standards, data governance, and compliance requirements.
- Oversee application‑level security, user access controls, and business continuity practices.
Leadership & Financial Stewardship
- Lead, mentor, and develop the Information Services team, fostering a collaborative, customer‑focused culture.
- Establish technology priorities, roadmaps, and performance metrics tied to business outcomes.
- Develop and manage the annual IT budget, ensuring cost discipline while enabling innovation.
- Provide executive‑level reporting on technology initiatives, risks, and return on investment.
Organizational Relationships
- Reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer
- Acts as a strategic advisor to executive leadership and department heads
- Leads and coordinates activities of the Information Services team
- Partners closely with Sales, Marketing, Operations, Finance, and external vendors
Position Requirements:
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Business, or equivalent experience.
- 8+ years of progressive IT leadership experience, with a strong emphasis on business applications, web platforms, or digital systems.
- Demonstrated experience supporting sales organizations, distributor networks, or customer‑facing platforms.
Technical & Professional Competencies
- Strong understanding of:
- Web technologies, SaaS platforms, and cloud‑based systems
- ERP, CRM, and system integrations
- Data, reporting, and analytics for business decision‑making
- Ability to translate business needs into practical, scalable technology solutions.
- Broad awareness of technology trends impacting digital commerce, field sales, and partner ecosystems.
Leadership & Communication Skills
- Proven ability to lead cross‑functional initiatives and influence at the executive level.
- Comfortable communicating complex technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative leadership style.
- Ability to develop and execute a strategic technology roadmap aligned with business priorities.
Budget Responsibility
- Oversees an annual IT operating and capital budget of approximately $2.4m.
