Senior IT Auditor to join our
Internal Audit & Risk Advisory team in
New York, Chicago, or Dallas. If you're ready to deliver value through SOX compliance, IT general controls (ITGC) testing, cybersecurity risk and maturity assessments, and enterprise risk advisory-while working side by side with seasoned former Big Four leaders-we'd love to hear from you!
What You'll DoYou'll work on real, high-impact projects that help clients strengthen IT and business processes, safeguard technology environments, and meet regulatory requirements. Your day-to-day may include:
- Planning and executing IT audits covering applications, databases, operating systems, networks, and cybersecurity controls
- Assessing ITGCs and application controls including access management, change management, problem and incident response, backup and recovery, and SDLC
- Evaluating compliance with frameworks and regulations such as SOX, COSO, COBIT, NIST, ISO 27001, HIPAA, PCI DSS, FedRAMP, FISMA, and GDPR
- Performing cybersecurity risk, maturity, and gap assessments
- Analyzing IT processes to identify control weaknesses, inefficiencies, automation opportunities, and process improvements
- Collaborating with IT, security, compliance, and business stakeholders to understand key systems and emerging risks (cloud, AI/ML, third-party/vendor risk)
- Documenting findings and delivering clear, actionable recommendations for risk mitigation and control improvements
- Monitoring remediation efforts and ensuring timely resolution of issues
What You'll BringWe know great team members come from all kinds of backgrounds. Some things we typically look for:
- A degree in Information Systems, Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in IT audit, internal audit, risk advisory, or consulting; Big 4 or equivalent professional services experience strongly preferred
- Proven experience auditing ITGCs and working knowledge of SOX and the COSO Internal Control Framework
- Recent experience with cybersecurity and technology risk assessments
- Strong process improvement, analytical, and communication skills
- High proficiency in audit/data analysis tools and IT systems
- Industry experience in financial services (hedge funds, private equity, real estate, or asset management) preferred
- Certifications such as CISA, CRISC, or CISM are a plus
