Job Summary:
Medical City Plano is seeking a Certified Nurse Midwife to provide high-quality, evidence-based midwifery care in a hospital setting. This role encompasses comprehensive prenatal, intrapartum, postpartum, and newborn care, with privileges to perform clinically relevant procedures under indirect physician supervision.
Qualified Candidates:
Night shift with weekend rotation
Master's degree or equivalent from an accredited midwifery program
Certified Nurse Midwife through the American Midwifery Certification Board
Active Certified Nurse Midwife with current experience delivering babies or Registered Nurse with recent,relevant Labor & Delivery experience seeking transition into a CNM role
Active, unrestricted Texas RN and APRN license (or ability to obtain)
Current BLS and NRP certifications
Eligible for hospital privileges, including clinical competency validation, case log documentation, and proctoring
Opportunity to participate in operative obstetrics, including surgical first assist, within a physician-led model
Demonstrated competency or willingness to complete ultrasound training and required proctoring
Comfortable working in a hospital labor and delivery environment
Commitment to patient education and family-centered care
