Customer Service / Retail Sales Associate – Flooring Showroom
Factory Direct Floor Store – San Diego, CA
Part-Time | 24–30 Hours Per Week
Starting Pay: $25.00 per hour
Factory Direct Floor Store is an established, family-owned flooring business serving San Diego for over 25 years. We are looking for a friendly, dependable, and personable individual to join our team in a Customer Service / Retail Sales position.
We’re looking for someone who genuinely enjoys working with people and is comfortable handling a combination of showroom sales, customer service, phones, email, and basic computer work.
Responsibilities
• Greet and assist customers in our flooring showroom
• Help customers with flooring selections and answer product questions
• Answer incoming phone calls and respond to emails
• Follow up with customers, estimates, and sales leads
• Prepare estimates, invoices, and basic customer paperwork
• Enter customer and order information into our computer system
• Assist the Office Manager with the day-to-day operations of the store
• Help coordinate customer orders and maintain accurate records
• Communicate with customers throughout the sales and ordering process
• Help maintain an organized, professional, and welcoming showroom
What We’re Looking For
• Friendly, outgoing, and personable
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Comfortable talking with customers in person and over the phone
• Comfortable using computers, email, and basic office software
• Organized with good attention to detail
• Dependable, punctual, and able to follow through
• Able to work independently when necessary
• Willing and interested in learning about flooring products
• Available approximately 24–30 hours per week
• Some weekend availability required
Experience
Previous experience in customer service, retail sales, flooring, home improvement, furniture, interior design, or a showroom environment is a plus.
Flooring experience is not required. We’re willing to train the right person who has excellent people skills, a good work ethic, and a willingness to learn.
Compensation
Starting at $25.00 per hour, with the opportunity for increased compensation based on experience, performance, and responsibilities.
