La Jolla Music is looking for fun, engaging, and enthusiastic music teachers to join our team!
We are currently looking for teachers who can teach one or more of our programs and instruments, including Animal Adventures in Music program for children ages 3–7, as well as piano, voice, and guitar instruction for our La Jolla Music Courses for elementary-aged students.
You do not need to teach all of these programs or instruments. We are interested in connecting with teachers based on their individual skills, experience, and interests.
The most important thing: you’re great with kids.
We are looking for teachers who are warm, energetic, playful, and naturally able to connect with children. You should be the kind of person who can walk into a room with young kids and make them feel comfortable, excited, and ready to participate.
Experience working with neurodivergent children is a plus, but what matters most is your ability to connect with children and create a positive experience for them.

How to Apply
We want to keep the application process simple and personal.
Please send us:
Your resume
Instead of an AI-written cover letter, please send us a very casual, one-minute video telling us a little about yourself, your music experience, hobbies, interests, etc. Please also include your availability. Our hours are Monday–Friday, 11:00 AM–7:00 PM, and Saturdays, 10:00 AM–3:00 PM. Saturday availability is a plus.
It does not need to be professionally filmed or edited — it can be as simple as a FaceTime-style video from your phone..
Please send both to:
Dianelle@lajollamusic.com
Applications with only resumes will not be considered.
From there, we can set up a quick video interview right away. If it feels like a good fit, the next step will be to come into La Jolla Music, shadow a teacher and do a trial with us. The shadowing and trial are paid.
We are looking for someone who is excited about music, loves working with kids, and wants to be part of the La Jolla Music team.
