Position Summary
The Assisted Living Caregiver provides compassionate, resident-centered care while supporting residents with daily activities and promoting their independence, safety, and well-being.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including dressing, grooming, bathing, toileting, and mobility.
Ensure residents' personal care needs are met with dignity and respect.
Document care provided using the Matrix Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
Follow medication administration policies and procedures.
Respond appropriately to medical emergencies and provide basic first aid when necessary.
Assist with meal service, monitor food intake, and support residents during mealtimes.
Transport residents safely throughout the community as needed.
Encourage and assist residents in participating in social, recreational, and wellness activities.
Observe and report changes in residents' physical or mental condition to the Assisted Living Director.
Maintain resident confidentiality at all times.
Assist in the orientation and training of new staff members.
Follow care plans and ensure compliance with safety, infection control, and community policies.
Qualifications
Ability to pass pre-employment physical examination and TB screening.
Ability to obtain fingerprint clearance as required by state licensing regulations.
Current Food Handler's Certificate.
Current First Aid Certification.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
