Position Summary
The Dishwasher is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation throughout the kitchen and dining areas. This position helps ensure dishes, cookware, utensils, and equipment are cleaned and stored properly while supporting a safe and sanitary environment for residents and staff.
Responsibilities
Operate commercial dishwashing equipment safely and effectively
Wash and sanitize dishes, cookware, utensils, glassware, and kitchen equipment
Maintain cleanliness in the dish room, kitchen, and dining areas
Assist with proper use and storage of kitchen chemicals
Follow all sanitation and food safety regulations
Clean countertops, shelves, coolers, delivery carts, and kitchen equipment
Support the Culinary Services team as needed to ensure smooth operations
Qualifications
Ability to pass a pre-employment physical and TB test
Fingerprint clearance as required by licensing regulations
Current Food Handler's Certification or ability to obtain one
Reliable, team-oriented, and committed to maintaining high cleanliness standards
Previous kitchen or dishwashing experience is helpful but not required
