We are seeking a skilled CNC Setup/Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have experience in setting up and operating CNC lathes with live tooling and 3-4-axis mills. The CNC Setup/Operator will be responsible for ensuring the proper setup of machines, loading materials, adjusting machine settings, and monitoring the production process to maintain quality standards and meet production goals.
Position responsibilities:
• Set up CNC machines including loading materials, tooling adjustments, and machine setting adjustments according to job specifications.
• Operate CNC machines to produce precision parts in accordance with engineering drawings and work instructions.
• Monitor machine operations to ensure proper functioning and make necessary adjustments to maintain quality and productivity.
• Perform routine maintenance on machines to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
• Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet quality standards and make adjustments as necessary.,
• Perform in-process inspection of parts during production to ensure adherence to blueprint specifications.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following company procedures and work guidelines.
• Make machine adjustments as necessary based on inspection results to maintain product quality.
• Troubleshoot issues with machines and implement corrective actions to resolve problems.
• Train associates in CNC setup and operation techniques, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and quality standards.
• Record setup times and machine run times for each job to optimize production efficiency.
• Demonstrate a strong understanding of FANUC g-code and possess the ability to program and edit on the machine.
