Maintenance Technician
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Maintenance Technician to lead and coordinate the daily activities of a maintenance department. This role is responsible for ensuring compliance with all safety, quality, productivity, and regulatory requirements while driving continuous improvement across people, processes, and equipment. The ideal candidate must be able to read and interpret mechanical and electrical schematics to diagnose equipment issues and support repairs and maintenance activities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Ensure team compliance with company policies, procedures, and applicable state and federal laws.
Structure, document, and standardize departmental operations to ensure work traceability and process consistency.
Identify process and equipment inefficiencies; recommend and implement corrective actions.
Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, productivity, cost control, and downtime reduction.
Develop, implement, and maintain preventive and corrective maintenance programs for all machinery.
Create, manage, and maintain maintenance schedules, operational logs, and departmental status reports.
Establish and maintain controls for machinery, tools, spare parts, and inventory storage.
Develop clear work instructions and standard operating procedures for the proper use of machinery and equipment.
Structure and maintain the maintenance management system, ensuring accurate and up-to-date documentation.
Prepare daily operational log reports and continuous improvement reports for management review.
Communicate effectively with internal departments and external vendors or customers as needed.
Escalate and report team performance, efficiency, or effectiveness concerns to management.
Comply with all reporting, documentation, and process control requirements.
Diagnose equipment issues using technical documentation, including mechanical drawings, electrical diagrams, and schematics.

Qualifications
Previous experience in maintenance, manufacturing, or operations in manufacturing, maintenance, or operations preferred.
Working knowledge of safety regulations, quality standards, and continuous improvement methodologies.
Ability to read, understand, and apply information from electrical and mechanical schematics.
Experience with maintenance management systems and reporting tools is strongly preferred.
Strong problem-solving, time-management, and decision-making skills.
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
