Role Overview:
We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Head Bartender / Bar Manager to join our team. This role is crucial in maintaining our high standards and ensuring the continued success and reputation of Strong Water Anaheim. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of bar operations, including cocktail creation, floor management, staff training, and inventory control.
Key Responsibilities:
Cocktail Creation: Innovate and design unique tiki cocktails that reflect our bar's distinctive style and tradition. Ensure the drink menu remains fresh, exciting, and aligned with current trends while respecting tiki heritage.
Floor Management: Oversee daily bar operations, including opening and closing procedures, ensuring a seamless guest experience from start to finish. Address staff needs and guest concerns promptly and professionally.
Staff Training: Train, mentor, and develop bar staff, fostering a culture of excellence, teamwork, and exceptional customer service. Conduct regular training sessions on cocktail making, tiki history, and bar etiquette.
Inventory Management: Manage and maintain bar inventory, including ordering, receiving, and stock control. Conduct regular stock audits and ensure efficient use of resources.
Data Entry: Maintain accurate records of sales, inventory, and operational data. Use these insights to optimize bar performance and profitability.
Guest Relations: Engage with guests, providing a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Handle special requests and ensure every guest leaves with a memorable experience.
Tiki Culture & History: Knowledge of tiki culture, its history, and traditional styles is highly valued. Use this knowledge to educate staff and enhance the authenticity of our bar experience.
Bar Smarts Certified: Certification in BarSmarts is a plus, must be able to demonstrate a thorough understanding of cocktail techniques and spirits knowledge.
Craft Cocktail Knowledge: A deep appreciation for and understanding of craft cocktails, including ingredients, techniques, and presentation.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Head Bartender, Bar Manager, or similar role in a high-volume bar or restaurant.
Expertise in cocktail creation, with a strong portfolio showcasing innovative and creative drink recipes.
Excellent people skills, with a natural ability to connect with guests and foster a positive team environment.
