About The Job
The Director of Content is a strategic and creative leader responsible for developing, executing and producing a cohesive content vision across all Turnberry properties and social platforms. This role oversees the full content lifecycle, with a strong emphasis on planning, producing, and directing high-impact photo and video shoots that bring each property’s brand to life.
This individual will lead content strategy across channels, ensuring consistency, quality, and performance while managing a steady cadence of content that drives engagement, brand awareness, and traffic. The Director of Content will also manage and mentor a team of content creators, providing day-to-day direction, creative feedback, workload prioritization, and support to ensure content is executed efficiently and aligned with brand standards.
What You Do
Content Strategy & Planning
- Develop and execute a comprehensive content strategy across all Turnberry properties and social media platforms
- Build and manage forward-looking content calendars aligned with campaigns, activations, and seasonal priorities
- Translate marketing objectives into compelling, platform-specific content plans
- Partner closely with agency relationships to align external creative support, campaign needs, production timelines, and content deliverables with overall brand and business priorities
Content Production & Shoot Direction
- Own the planning and execution of all content shoots across properties (photo, video, social-first content)
- Create detailed shoot plans including concepts, shot lists, location planning, talent coordination, and timelines
- Direct on-site shoots, providing creative direction to ensure content aligns with brand standards and vision
- Partner with internal teams, property teams, and external vendors (photographers, videographers, stylists, talent) to deliver high-quality content
- Collaborate with external agency partners to brief creative needs, coordinate production support, review deliverables, and ensure agency output aligns with Turnberry’s brand standards and content goals
Creative Leadership
- Establish and maintain a strong, cohesive visual identity across all brands and platforms
- Ensure all content is elevated, on-brand, and aligned with luxury/lifestyle positioning
- Provide creative direction and feedback to internal teams and external partners
Team Leadership & Content Creator Management
- Manage, coach, and develop a team of two content creators responsible for capturing, editing, and producing content across properties and platforms
- Assign priorities, review work, and provide clear creative direction to ensure content is timely, polished, on-brand, and aligned with campaign objectives
- Establish team workflows, production expectations, and feedback rhythms to support consistency, accountability, and high-quality execution
Cross-Property Collaboration
- Partner with marketing teams across all properties to identify content opportunities, key moments, and storytelling angles
- Ensure consistent execution while tailoring content to each property’s unique audience and positioning
Performance & Optimization
- Track and analyze content performance across platforms (engagement, reach, growth, etc.)
- Use insights to refine content strategy, optimize performance, and inform future shoots
- Stay ahead of social trends, formats, and platform updates to ensure content remains current and competitive
Organization & Asset Management
- Oversee organization and management of content libraries and digital assets
- Ensure all content is properly archived, tagged, and accessible for ongoing use

What You Bring To The Table
Experience & Education
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience in content, social media, or creative production roles
- Proven experience planning and directing content shoots (photo and video)
- Experience working across multiple brands, properties, or locations preferred
Technical Skills
- Deep understanding of social media platforms, content trends, and best practices
- Experience with content creation and editing tools (e.g., CapCut, Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, Lightroom After Effects or similar)
- Ability to translate performance data into actionable content strategy
