Warehouse Technician Responsibilities:
Reads customer orders, work orders, shipping orders and/or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, distributed and/or shipped.
Operates a pallet jack, manual or electric
Ensures inbound units needing repair are placed in the proper area and tagged with available information regarding the required repair.
Alerts and facilitates the coordination of the units needing inspection; provides inspection updates to the Inventory Management System where required by customer requirements.
Opens bales, crates and other containers.
Marks materials with identifying information using appropriate method
Conducts basic function testing of medical equipment, such as system power-ups (certain function test procedures involve the use of medical grade Air and Oxygen (O2) gasses).
Ensures that all ship dates are met; follows established shipping and receiving procedures per MedTec Warehouse Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Supports received goods and supplies to be used in, or to aid in, the production of goods and the shipment of goods produced destined for sale to our customer base.
Provides additional Operations, Production & Shipping support as needed.
Other duties as assigned by supervisor and/or management.
Warehouse Technician Qualifications:
Prior RF Scanner experience is required
Ability to acquire TSA certification (required).
Familiar with and able to interpret packing slips, enter into the computer the correct information, to acknowledge receipt of the goods into the purchase order and processing database.
Must be able to fill out bills of lading and be familiar with various forms that are used and required by the major freight carriers.
Must be capable of estimating weight and use that information to calculate the cost of shipping.
Must be familiar with proper packaging methods and able to interpret visual aids used to convey specific packaging requirements.
Deadline and detail-oriented
Able to lift 50+ pounds
Other general warehouse duties assigned (load and unload, palletizing, Shrink wrap, Pick & Pack)
Computer Skills:
· Familiarity with Microsoft Office, especially Word, Excel and Outlook.
· Basic PC skills (non-programming).
· Ability to quickly learn new programs/software.
Physical Demands:
· Standing six (6) or more hours per workday; sitting two (2) or more hours per workday.
· Ability to lift up to 35 pounds.
· Ability to push up to 450 pounds up ramps.
· Ability to bend, reach and stoop frequently throughout the shift.
· Appropriate safety gear must be worn as needed. (Steel Toes)
Warehouse Technician Job Requirements:
Must be able to pass a Drug test and 7 year Background check
Good job stability
Must have reliable transportation.
Ability to work individually or with a team
