Position Summary: The E-Waste Warehouse Associate – IT & Electronics Recycling is responsible for supporting daily warehouse and recycling operations through the safe handling, identification, sorting, dismantling, testing, and processing of electronic equipment and recyclable materials. This position requires basic computer hardware knowledge and the ability to identify IT equipment components, including desktops, laptops, servers, networking equipment, memory, processors, hard drives, power supplies, and other electronic parts.
The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-conscious, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse environment involving electronics recycling, material handling, and IT asset processing.

Receive, inspect, sort, and process electronic equipment and recyclable materials
Identify computer hardware components, peripherals, and electronic parts for proper disposition, reuse, resale, or recycling
Safely dismantle desktops, laptops, servers, monitors, networking equipment, and other electronics using hand and power tools
Test or evaluate electronic equipment for basic functionality as assigned
Remove and separate components including RAM, CPUs, hard drives, SSDs, power supplies, motherboards, and other recyclable materials
Load and unload trucks, pallets, containers, and warehouse materials
Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, electric pallet jacks, wrapping equipment, and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently
Maintain accurate inventory records, asset tracking information, and material documentation
Follow all safety procedures, PPE requirements, hazardous material handling procedures, and security protocols
Maintain cleanliness and organization of warehouse work areas
Communicate effectively with supervisors, coworkers, drivers, and other departments
Report equipment issues, safety hazards, injuries, spills, or operational concerns immediately
Assist with warehouse projects and additional operational duties as assigned
Qualifications & Requirements
Education & Experience:
High school diploma or GED preferred
Previous warehouse, recycling, shipping & receiving, production, or labor experience preferred
Prior experience working with computers, electronics, or IT equipment strongly preferred
Previous forklift experience or certification preferred, but not required
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Basic knowledge of computer hardware and electronic components
Ability to identify common IT equipment and parts
Familiarity with desktops, laptops, servers, hard drives, memory, CPUs, and networking equipment preferred
Ability to safely use hand tools and warehouse equipment
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Basic communication and problem-solving skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse or production environment
Reliable attendance and punctuality required
Physical Demands: This position requires frequent physical activity throughout the workday. Employees must be able to:
Stand and walk for extended periods, up to 8 hours per shift
Frequently bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, twist, reach, and climb
Lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation
Perform repetitive hand and arm movements
Safely work around warehouse equipment and moving machinery
Handle electronic equipment, tools, pallets, and recyclable materials safely
Work Environment & Schedule:
Warehouse and recycling facility environment
Exposure to dust, noise, warehouse traffic, and varying temperatures
Schedule may vary based on operational needs - Typical schedule 7:30am to 4:00pm Monday through Friday, 40 hours/week.
Overtime, weekends, and extended shifts may be required in accordance with business demands and applicable California wage and hour laws
