“Optimize your Opportunities”
Tangerine is a live iOS app where users post outfits, products, or appearance-related decisions and receive targeted crowd feedback from selected demographics. The product is fully functional with a refined production-quality UI/UX, and currently live in the Apple App Store.
The app was built in Swift with a Firebase / Firestore backend and has already gone through an extended beta and refinement cycle. Until now, nearly all company resources have gone toward product development rather than marketing, so current traction is intentionally minimal.
We are now transitioning into the next phase: user acquisition, infrastructure scaling, analytics refinement, and rapid product iteration based on live user behavior.
The company is founder-led and bootstrapped. The CEO has a CS background, UCLA MBA, and funded most early development personally while working full-time as an airline pilot. We also have an experienced offshore developer currently supporting the platform.
We are looking for a technical cofounder before initiating broader growth efforts because we want stronger technical leadership and faster response capability as the platform scales.
The role is initially very hands-on and will likely involve:
• Learning and auditing the existing codebase
• Working with the current offshore developer
• Handling production fixes and technical prioritization
• Monitoring analytics and improving platform reliability
• Testing and iterating small MVP-style feature additions
• Helping shape long-term architecture and engineering strategy
This is an equity-focused cofounder opportunity. Equity will depend heavily on contribution level, capability, availability, and long-term ownership mindset.
Ideal candidates will have:
• Strong Swift / iOS experience
• Comfort operating in an early-stage startup environment
• Ability to balance pragmatism with long-term technical thinking
• Backend or cross-platform experience preferred
• Southern California preferred for occasional in-person meetings
• High accountability and principled judgment
This is not a low-risk salaried executive role. It is an opportunity to join immediately before broader market validation and growth efforts begin.
