NOW HIRING – WORKING LANDSCAPE CONSTRUCTION FOREMAN
Tellechea Landscape Construction – San Diego County
Tellechea Landscape Construction is looking for an experienced WORKING FOREMAN to join our team. We are looking for someone loyal, dependable, skilled, and motivated who can lead by example and work alongside the crew every day — not just supervise.
We are preferably looking for someone located in the North County San Diego area, but we service all of San Diego County.
This position is for a hands-on foreman that knows landscape construction and can run jobs efficiently from start to finish.
Qualifications & Experience:
Strong experience in landscape construction preferred
We are primarily seeking a qualified working foreman
Must be able to lead and manage crews in the field
General labor experience required
Must be able to safely hook up and tow trailers
Comfortable operating equipment and working around machinery
Valid driver’s license REQUIRED
Reliable, hardworking, and punctual
We are willing to train the right person in some areas if they are highly motivated, dependable, and have a strong foundation in the trade. However, this is not an entry-level position — we are looking for someone who already understands most aspects of landscape construction.
Skills We’re Looking For:
Basic landscape design knowledge
Installing and leveling decomposed granite (DG)
Installing bender board
Installing decorative rock
French drain installation
Irrigation knowledge
Grading and drainage experience
Sod, planting, and landscape installation
Synthetic turf installation prep (base prep, grading, compaction, layout)
Concrete prep and demo experience
Block wall and retaining wall knowledge is a plus
Ability to read plans and keep jobs moving efficiently
Responsibilities:
Running daily job sites and crews
Working alongside employees in the field
Maintaining quality control and production
Keeping jobs clean, organized, and on schedule
Communicating with customers and management professionally
Making sure work is completed safely and correctly
