We're growing (again!)
Soup du Jar is a growing boutique food company that offers farm to table soups, sauces, bone broth, and dressings. We distribute almost exclusively via farmer's markets and online delivery. We believe in healthy, fresh ingredients (our products are vegan, vegetarian and/or with organic meats). We're also committed to sustainability--we financially incent our customers to return the glass jars of which our products are packaged.
We started in the Conejo Valley and are presently in the Brentwood, Hollywood, Marina del Rey, Pasadena, Playa Vista, Torrance and Westlake Farmer's Markets. We're expanding into Orange County and are looking for a kind and outgoing sales person with a big smile and warm personality to represent us at our booth. This position works very well for those with service experience (think high-end wait staff at a restaurant). If you're a "foodie", all the better!
Each market occurs one day a week, usually on a Saturday or Sunday. A typical market will require you to be there from 7am to 2pm or 7:30am to 2:30pm (depending on the market hours). Generally, you'll pick up our products and booth setup at a nearby location, then set it up and run the booth. At the end of the event you'll take down and return everything back. We have opportunities for one or both days each weekend.
The patrons at farmer's markets are awesome, authentic and interesting. We've built great relationships with some of our customers, so be aware--there's an emotional connection that builds when you work these markets. It's really a lot of fun!
