Back Bay Montessori is seeking a Lead Teacher for our preschool classroom, ages 2- 4.5-years. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 12 ECE units/Montessori diploma and at least 1 year of experience as a lead teacher in a Montessori setting.
Responsibilities
Create an environment that is attractive, clean, and safe for children to learn, explore, and grow
Ensure the classroom is maintaining and exceeding all health & safety requirements, and Title 22 regulations
Communicate appropriately with administrators, coworkers, parents, and children
Maintain a professional self-image and project the values of the organization at all times
Create and implement weekly lesson plans integrating the monthly curriculum
Maintain daily lesson tracking records and observations of each child
Ensure classroom staff are appropriately supervising and guiding children at all times
Skills
Education:
*Montessori Primary/Early Childhood Certification preferred
*12 ECE/Child Development
