Job Summary
The General Manager is responsible for leading all aspects of restaurant operations to deliver an outstanding guest experience, strong financial performance, and a safe, high-performing work environment. This role oversees daily operations, staffing, training, food quality, cleanliness, customer service, and compliance with company standards. The General Manager is expected to build and develop a strong management team, drive sales and profitability, and ensure consistent execution in a fast-paced 24/7 restaurant environment.
This position requires flexibility and leadership presence across all dayparts, including late night operations. The General Manager will be required to work three late night shifts per week to support a 24/7 business model.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day restaurant operations and ensure excellence in food quality, speed of service, cleanliness, and guest satisfaction
- Recruit, hire, train, develop, and retain team members and managers
- Provide coaching, feedback, and accountability to management and hourly employees
- Ensure proper staffing levels and deployment for all shifts and dayparts
- Manage labor, food cost, inventory, waste, and other controllable expenses
- Analyze sales, transactions, service times, customer feedback, and operational reports to improve performance
- Ensure compliance with company policies, brand standards, food safety requirements, and all applicable health and safety procedures
- Maintain a safe workplace for employees and guests by following all security, safety, and emergency procedures
- Oversee cash handling, deposits, till accountability, and protection of company assets
- Drive store performance through strong shift execution, local store marketing support, and guest recovery efforts
- Maintain restaurant equipment and facility standards; communicate and follow up on maintenance needs
- Lead by example in professionalism, urgency, teamwork, and customer service
- Support and oversee late night operations to ensure consistency in service, staffing, security, and execution
- Be available to work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, holidays, and three late night shifts each week
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of restaurant management experience required; quick service restaurant experience strongly preferred
- Proven ability to lead teams, coach managers, and drive operational results
- Strong understanding of customer service, staffing, scheduling, food quality, and cost controls
- Ability to read and interpret reports, analyze trends, and make sound business decisions
- Strong communication, leadership, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities
- Basic computer skills and ability to use restaurant systems and reporting tools
- Must be able to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 pounds, bend, reach, and move throughout the restaurant
- Must have reliable transportation and the ability to work a flexible schedule
- Must adhere to all labor laws
Required Qualifications:
- ServSafe Manager Certification
- Experience managing a 24/7 restaurant or late-night operations
- Bilingual communication skills
Work Environment / Schedule Expectations
This is a leadership role in a 24/7 operating restaurant. The General Manager must be available to support all dayparts as business needs require and will be expected to work three late night shifts per week as part of their regular schedule. Availability for weekends, holidays, and peak business periods is required. Required to work a minimum of 40+ hours a week.
