Description We are looking for an Accounting Clerk to support day-to-day financial operations for a Contract position based in Pasadena, California. This role focuses on maintaining accurate records, handling invoice activity, and assisting with both payables and receivables in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate brings strong attention to detail, comfort with accounting software, and the ability to manage high-volume data entry with consistency and accuracy.
Responsibilities:
Process vendor invoices, verify supporting documentation, and ensure payments are recorded accurately and on schedule.
Prepare and post customer billing information while monitoring incoming payments and resolving routine account discrepancies.
Enter financial data into accounting systems with a high level of accuracy to maintain reliable records and reporting.
Use QuickBooks and related tools to update account activity, reconcile entries, and support daily bookkeeping tasks.
Review accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions to identify missing information, errors, or overdue items.
Maintain organized financial files and documentation so records are accessible for internal review and audit support.
Communicate with vendors, customers, and internal team members to clarify billing details and payment status.
Assist with invoice processing workflows and contribute to smooth month-end accounting activities. Requirements - Experience supporting accounts payable and accounts receivable functions in an accounting or clerical role.
Proficiency with QuickBooks and confidence working within computerized accounting systems.
Strong data entry skills with a focus on accuracy, speed, and attention to detail.
Hands-on experience processing invoices and maintaining organized financial documentation.
Ability to reconcile routine transactions and identify inconsistencies in financial records.
Effective written and verbal communication skills for coordinating with vendors, customers, and colleagues.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a Contract assignment.
