# SHOP HELPER / LUBE TECHNICIAN – AUTOMOTIVE REPAIR SHOP

**Compensation:** $18-$25/hour, based on experience
**Employment Type:** Full-Time
**Schedule:** Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM
SJC Automotive Service Inc. is a busy, family-owned automotive repair shop in **San Juan Capistrano, CA**. We have been serving Southern California for 15+ years and recently moved to a new location.
We are looking for a **Shop Helper / Lube Technician** to join our team. This is a great opportunity for someone who is dependable, motivated, mechanically inclined, and interested in building a career in the automotive industry.
You will work alongside experienced technicians and have the opportunity to **learn, gain hands-on experience, and develop your automotive skills**.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
* Perform oil changes and routine vehicle maintenance
* Lubricate vehicles and perform basic maintenance services
* Inspect fluid levels, filters, belts, hoses, and other components
* Rotate and inspect tires
* Assist technicians with repairs and diagnostics
* Help with vehicle inspections and basic services
* Move vehicles in and out of the shop as needed
* Keep tools, equipment, and work areas clean and organized
* Assist with maintaining an efficient and clean shop environment
* Perform general shop duties as needed
* Follow all shop safety procedures
QUALIFICATIONS
* Automotive experience preferred, but **willing to train the right person**
* Mechanically inclined and eager to learn
* Basic understanding of automotive systems is a plus
* Must be dependable, punctual, and hardworking
* Positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team
* Able to follow instructions and complete tasks efficiently
* Detail-oriented and takes pride in quality work
* Valid driver's license required
* Reliable transportation required
* Ability to safely lift and move automotive equipment and parts
