In-person reading teacher / academic instructor who can support 1:1 instruction in reading, writing, and math--whether it is homework help or preparing short lessons at our Huntington Beach location. Academic instructor must feel comfortable working with any two age groups (minimum):
- Early Education (TK and kindergarten)
- Early Elementary (1st-3rd)
- Upper Elementary (3rd-6th)
- Middle School (6th-8th)
- High School (in ELA)
- High School (in Math)
Experience with children in an academic setting is a must--but can be a teacher or aide--providing instruction in either whole class, small group, or 1:1. We will also accept applicants who are on the path to becoming a credentialed teacher or working in a related field (i.e. speech pathologist, etc.), if currently enrolled in a college program for teachers, communications, early childhood, etc.
Note: Remedial intervention training is provided (and paid!), as well various modes of support (i.e. materials, curriculum, collaboration opportunities, and regular oversight by a seasoned instructor)
Looking to hire for part-time work: 15-20 hours per week in our Huntington Beach office, in-person, Monday-Friday during afterschool hours.
