About STEMTREE Mission Viejo
STEMTREE Mission Viejo is a new STEM academic enrichment center that will open in early 2027 at 26131 La Paz Rd Mission Viejo, CA 92691 serving school children of all ages in Mission Viejo and the surrounding areas. We are creating a fun, creative, hands-on environment where kids can explore and build their skills in math, science, coding, robotics, engineering, and electronics, supported by the structured STEMTREE curriculum.
Our goal is to combine individualized and structured learning paths with hands-on STEM activities to increase student confidence and foster a love of all things STEM.

About the Owner
STEMTREE Mission Viejo is owned and operated by Alex Abatzoglou, an engineer, mathematician, educator, and longtime Orange County resident. Alex has a professional background spanning systems engineering and mathematics education and is excited to bridge these two domains together as the owner of STEMTREE Mission Viejo.
About the Position
STEMTREE Mission Viejo is looking for an energetic, outgoing Community Partnerships Director to help us build relationships with families and schools throughout Mission Viejo and the surrounding area. We're looking for someone who is an excellent communicator, organized, patient, and great with kids.
What You'll Do
Build relationships with local schools, PTAs, charter schools, and families
Identify opportunities for STEMTREE to participate in local events and programs
Follow up with prospective families and community contacts
Help turn community interest into center visits, STEM assessments, and, ultimately student enrollments
As the center grows, work directly with students and help support center operations
How the Role Grows
Before opening: 100% community outreach and relationship building.
Phase One — fewer than 30 customers: Approximately 80% outreach / 20% tutoring-center work.
Phase Two - 30-65 customers: Approximately 50% outreach / 50% tutoring-center work.
Phase Three - 65+ customers: Approximately 30% outreach / 70% tutoring-center work.
We want this position to grow with the center. A successful Director will have opportunities for increased responsibility and leadership as STEMTREE Mission Viejo grows.

Schedule
Flexible schedule based on community outreach needs with most work being remote
Work with schools may need to be done during regular work hours
Some evening or weekend availability may be needed to connect with parents and attend community events
The schedule will be developed collaboratively with Director and owner
Training & Requirements
Background screening
Live scan fingerprinting may be required
Mandated reporter training may be required
STEMTREE-specific training
Student safety training
All required training is paid.
Compensation & Schedule
$25/hour | Approximately 10-20 hours/week | Part-time, nonexempt
