The Countertop Company Inc. is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Stone & Countertop Templator ( Measurement Technician) to join our team.
This is an important, precision-focused position. Accurate templating is essential to ensuring that every countertop is fabricated and installed correctly the first time.
We use LT-2D3D Laser Templator
Compensation
$22–$30+ per hour, depending on experience and qualifications
Performance-based incentives may be available
Higher compensation may be available for candidates with experience in digital templating, laser templating systems, complex layouts, field troubleshooting, and customer coordination.
Responsibilities
Visit residential and commercial job sites to measure and template countertops
Template granite, quartz, quartzite, marble, porcelain, solid surface, and other materials
Use digital templating equipment .
Verify cabinets, walls, appliances, sinks, backsplashes, and job-site conditions
Confirm sink, faucet, cooktop, outlet, seam, overhang, and edge-profile details
Identify potential installation or fabrication issues before production begins
Review plans, drawings, measurements, and customer specifications
Communicate project details clearly to fabricators, installers, contractors, designers, and homeowners
Take accurate field measurements, photographs, and job notes
Submit completed templates and project information promptly
Coordinate with other trades as needed
Help ensure each project is fabricated and installed accurately
Maintain a professional appearance and follow all company safety procedures
Qualifications
Previous experience templating stone or countertops preferred
Knowledge of countertop fabrication and installation processes
Digital templating or laser templating experience is a plus
Strong understanding of cabinetry, appliances, sinks, walls, and job-site conditions
Ability to read plans and interpret drawings
Excellent measuring, mathematical, and organizational skills
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
Strong communication and customer-service skills
Ability to work independently and manage a daily schedule
Valid driver’s license.
Ability to travel to job sites and work in active construction environments
Ability to lift, carry, bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods
