•Supervise, direct, and coordinate the daily activities of assigned painting crews
•Review project plans, specifications, drawings, and scopes of work prior to starting work.
•Plan & assign daily work activities to maximize productivity and efficiency.
•Coordinate work with project managers, superintendents, customers, and other trades.
•Perform or oversee all aspects of surface preparation, including cleaning, sanding, patching, masking, caulking, and priming.
•Apply paints, primers, stains, epoxy coatings, urethanes, elastomeric coatings, and other specialty finishes.
•Operate and maintain spray equipment, pressure washers, sanders, and other painting tools.
•Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
•Ability to stand, walk, climb, kneel, bend, and work overhead for extended periods.
•Ability to work from ladders, scaffolding, aerial lifts, and elevated work platforms.
•Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
•Ability to wear respirators and other required PPE.
•Enforce all company safety policies and OSHA regulations.
•Conduct weekly safety meetings or toolbox talks. (changed to weekly)
•Estimate and request materials needed for each phase of work.
•Maintain inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies.
•Ensure equipment is cleaned, maintained, and properly stored.
•Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
•Ability to read construction plans/drawings, specifications, and field budgets.
