Turpin Construction is seeking a dependable, safety-focused Class A CDL Driver to join our growing transportation division. This position operates a variety of commercial equipment including end dumps, flatbeds, power units, and recently expanded into crude oil tanker operations.
We are looking for someone who takes pride in their equipment, communicates well with dispatch and customers, and represents our company professionally on every job.
Primary Responsibilities
• Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles throughout Southern California and surrounding states.
• Haul construction materials, aggregates, demolition debris, equipment, and other freight.
• Operate:
• End Dump
• Flatbed
• Power Unit
• Roll-Off (preferred)
• Crude Oil Tanker (future opportunities for qualified drivers)
• Secure loads using chains, binders, straps, and tarps when required.
• Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Complete load tickets, and required paperwork accurately.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding load status, delays, and equipment concerns.
• Keep assigned equipment clean, organized, and well maintained.
• Assist with loading and unloading when necessary.
• Work safely around heavy equipment, job sites, refineries, and industrial facilities.
Minimum Qualifications
• Valid California Class A CDL
• Clean driving record
• Current DOT Medical Certificate
• Minimum 2 years of commercial driving experience preferred
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening
• Strong understanding of DOT Hours of Service regulations
• Ability to safely operate manual or automatic transmissions

Physical Requirements
• Lift up to 75 pounds
• Climb on trailers and equipment safely
• Frequently bend, climb, kneel, and secure loads
• Work outdoors in varying weather conditions
Schedule
• Full-Time
• 8–12 hour shifts depending on workload
• Overtime available
• Occasional overnight travel
• Weekend work may be required
