Full-Time Groundskeeper / Maintenance – Wedding & Event Venue
Location: Fallbrook, CA
Pay: Starting at $20.00 per hour
Schedule: Friday through Tuesday – Wednesdays & Thursdays off once trained
Start Time: 7:00 AM
We are a large wedding and special event venue in Fallbrook seeking a dependable, hardworking Full-Time Groundskeeper / Maintenance employee to join our team.
This is an event venue, not a private residence. Because we host weddings and special events, our grounds and event areas must be maintained to a high standard and kept clean, attractive, safe, and ready for our guests.
This is not simply a gardening position. We are looking for someone who is versatile, enjoys working outdoors, has strong irrigation skills, some handyman abilities, and is willing to handle a variety of responsibilities throughout the property.
You must be able to follow instructions and work well under a foreman, while also being self-motivated and able to recognize what needs to be done when working independently.
RESPONSIBILITIES
* Maintain, repair, and troubleshoot irrigation systems – strong irrigation skills are required
* Operate blowers, weed whackers, saws, pressure washers, and other landscaping and maintenance equipment
* Perform weed control and weed abatement
* Assist with plant and landscape care
* Perform basic handyman work and property repairs
* Assist with pest control and prevention
* Pressure wash and clean outdoor areas
* Keep event areas, walkways, and grounds clean and presentable
* Assist with **wedding and event setup and breakdown**, including moving tables, chairs, and equipment
* Run errands and pick up supplies using company vehicles
* Assist with general property maintenance and special projects as needed
* Be willing to handle a variety of tasks depending on the needs of the property and event schedule
QUALIFICATIONS
* Strong irrigation knowledge and troubleshooting skills are required
* Previous groundskeeping, landscaping, property maintenance, or similar experience
* Comfortable operating power tools and landscaping equipment
* Some **handyman and basic repair skills**
* Knowledge of plants, pest control, and weed abatement is a plus
* Must be physically capable of lifting and moving tables, chairs, equipment, and supplies
* Must have a **valid California driver's license** and be able to qualify for coverage under our company vehicle insurance
* Must be dependable and able to consistently report to work at 7:00 AM
* Must be available to work Friday through Tuesday
* Must speak and understand **English
* **Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
* Must be able to follow directions and work as part of a team
* Must also be self-motivated and productive without constant supervision
