About the Position:
We are looking for a dependable and safety-conscious Delivery Driver / Shop Support team member to join our hydraulic repair shop. This position is responsible for picking up and delivering hydraulic cylinders, components, parts, material, and customer orders throughout the San Diego area.
The majority of driving will be in a company flatbed truck, with occasional use of an F-150. When not making deliveries or pickups, this position will assist with day-to-day shop operations, including loading and unloading, cleaning and organizing, inventory assistance, and general shop support.
Previous delivery or hydraulic industry experience is a plus, but we are willing to train the right person. We're primarily looking for someone who is reliable, works safely, takes care of company equipment, and is willing to help wherever needed. This is a full-time position. Reliable and consistent attendance is an important part of the role.
Schedule:
Monday–Thursday: 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
Friday: 7:00 AM–3:30 PM
Responsibilities:
●Safely pick up and deliver hydraulic cylinders, hydraulic components, parts, material, and customer orders
●Operate company vehicles, primarily a flatbed truck and occasionally an F-150
●Safely load, secure, transport, and unload materials and equipment
●Verify pickups and deliveries to ensure the correct items are being transported
●Maintain a professional and courteous attitude when interacting with customers and vendors
●Keep company vehicles clean, organized, and in good operating condition
●Report vehicle issues, damage, or safety concerns promptly
●Assist with loading and unloading trucks at the shop
●Help maintain a clean, safe, and organized shop and work area
●Assist with inventory, organizing parts and materials, and general shop duties
●Run company errands and assist other team members as needed
●Follow company safety procedures and safe material-handling practices
Qualifications:
●Valid driver's license
●Clean driving record required
●Ability to safely operate a flatbed truck and pickup truck
●Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs.
●Dependable transportation to and from work
●Reliable attendance and punctuality
●Comfortable working in a shop/industrial environment
●Able to follow instructions and work independently when needed
●Good communication and customer service skills
●Willingness to learn and assist with tasks outside of driving
●Previous delivery, warehouse, shop, or industrial experience is preferred but not required
●English/Spanish bilingual preferred, but not required
Additional Requirements:
A clean driving record is required and may be verified as part of the hiring process. Drug testing may also be required in accordance with company policy and applicable law.
