# CNC Department Manager / Programmer – Trade Show & Custom Exhibit Manufacturing

We are seeking an experienced **CNC Department Manager / Programmer** to lead one of the most critical departments in our manufacturing operation\. We are looking for a motivated, positive, and detail\-oriented professional who understands the fast\-paced trade show and custom exhibit industry\.
This is more than a CNC operator position\. You will manage the department, oversee production, troubleshoot problems, and ensure quality parts are delivered to our fabrication team accurately and on schedule\.

## Primary Responsibilities
- Manage the day\-to\-day operations of the CNC department\.
- Receive engineering drawings and files and prepare them for production\.
- Create CNC programs using EnRoute and VCarve software\.
- Review and modify AutoCAD drawings when necessary\.
- Nest parts for maximum material efficiency and minimum waste\.
- Schedule and prioritize CNC production to meet demanding project deadlines\.
- Oversee CNC operators and ensure quality standards are maintained\.
- Verify all parts are cut accurately before releasing them to production\.
- Troubleshoot programming and machining issues quickly while providing effective solutions\.
- Reduce material waste by identifying and correcting issues before production continues\.
- Communicate with Engineering, Project Management, Production, and Shop Leads to keep projects moving efficiently\.
- Maintain CNC equipment and ensure a safe, organized work environment\.
## Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of CNC programming and manufacturing experience\.
- Experience in the trade show, exhibit, custom fabrication, cabinet, or millwork industry is strongly preferred\.
- Proficient in **EnRoute** software\.
- Proficient in **VCarve** software\.
- Strong working knowledge of **AutoCAD**\.
- Experience nesting parts for CNC production\.
- Strong understanding of CNC routers, tooling, feeds, speeds, and production processes\.
- Ability to read engineering drawings and fabrication plans\.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem\-solving skills\.
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail\.
- Positive attitude and professional communication skills\.
- Comfortable working in a fast\-paced environment with changing priorities\.

## Work Environment
