Part-Time Cashier – $16.90/hr + Tips – Santa Ana
Gus's World Famous Fried Chicken in Santa Ana is hiring a Part-Time Cashier for an immediate start.
Pay: $16.90/hour + tips after training
Schedule: Approximately 2–3 shifts per week
Typical Shifts: 11:00 AM–5:00 PM or 5:00 PM–9:30 PM
Location: Downtown Santa Ana
Tips are paid out daily after training and vary depending on sales and business volume. Tips are not included during the training period.
Additional shifts may become available based on business needs, availability, and performance. The more flexible your availability, the more opportunities there may be for additional hours.
We are looking for someone who is friendly, dependable, hardworking, and comfortable working in a fast-paced restaurant environment. Previous cashier, serving, or restaurant experience is required.
Responsibilities
Greet customers and provide friendly, professional service
Take dine-in, takeout, and phone orders accurately
Operate our Toast POS system and accurately process cash and credit card transactions
Handle cash accurately, including counting change and maintaining a balanced cash drawer
Assist with online and third-party delivery orders
Double-check orders for accuracy before they reach customers
Keep the front-of-house area clean and organized
Complete general side work and cleaning as needed
Work as a team with cashiers and kitchen staff during busy shifts
What We're Looking For:
Previous restaurant, cashier, or serving experience
Strong basic math and cash-handling skills
Must be comfortable accurately counting cash and making change
Previous Toast POS experience is a plus, but not required
Dependable and punctual
Friendly and comfortable interacting with customers
Able to multitask and stay organized during busy periods
Able to stand for extended periods and perform light lifting as needed
Weekend availability preferred
Flexible availability is a plus
