About the role:
The Factory Operator operates various department equipment used to include start-up, operation, preventive maintenance, and quality checks.
Responsibilities:
• Operates various types of machines
• Enter job into the manufacturing control system
• Read and interpret shop traveler to verify that all previous operations were completed, to verify count and to verify quality
• Maintain a safe, neat, and orderly workplace
• Complete all internal departmental documentation accurately
Candidate requirements and expectations:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required.
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to read
• Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment such as gloves, safety glasses.
• Ability to stand and walk through the day
o Job requires long periods of standing up to 80%
• Ability to follow procedures an maintain the quality of products at all time
o Good attention to detail and know how to follow SOP to produce good quality
o Able to work with machinery
• Should be available to work overtime and weekends as dictated by business necessity
