POSITION SUMMARY
The Beverage Manufacturing Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily production operations within the beverage facility to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality manufacturing processes.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
A. Operational Oversight
- Lead and manage all activities across multiple production lines and shifts as required. Items include recording of hourly production counts from Depal, filler, Filtec, and finished goods.
- Ensure production schedules are met, and daily/weekly output targets are achieved.
- Adjustment and communication of the labor schedule to close gaps for production to meet production timelines with details of operators' names assigned to specific equipment.
- Oversee mixing, batching, filling, capping, labeling, and packaging processes.
- Coordinate equipment changeovers and cleaning between product runs.
- Conduct pre-shift and post-shift line inspections and readiness checks.
B. Quality Assurance & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with internal quality requirements and adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), HACCP, GFSI, SQF, FDA, and other relevant food and beverage safety standards.
- Verify in-process quality checks (PQC) are being conducted (pH, Brix, CO₂, volume, VDL, Artwork codes, Fiber tear, torque, label placement, etc.).
- Counsel employees that fail to meet the mandatory PQC check frequencies.
- Work with QA/QC team to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate batch records and production documentation. All documents to be signed and scanned to Google group.
C. Staff Supervision & Development
- Supervise and schedule production line operators, leads, and temporary labor as needed that reflects their skilled and training level.
- Conduct daily shift meetings to communicate priorities and safety protocols.
- Train staff on SOPs, safety procedures, equipment operations, and sanitation practices.
- Monitor performance and provide coaching, mentoring, and corrective action when necessary.
D. Safety & Sanitation
- Promote and enforce a culture of safety—ensuring compliance with OSHA, Cal/OSHA, and internal safety policies. (Enforce PPE, Access compliance, proper working techniques per job, etc)
- Oversee proper sanitation of equipment, organization of packaging supplies, return of all tools to their assigned storage locations, and facility areas in collaboration with sanitation staff.
- Ensure all personnel are wearing proper PPE and following safety protocols.
- Participate in and lead incident investigations and safety audits.
E. Inventory & Resource Management
- Track daily raw material usage and minimize waste through efficient batching and packaging practices.
- Report inventory discrepancies to the material resource planner with documented exceptions.
- Monitor and request maintenance of equipment and tools to minimize downtime via MaintainX.
F. Reporting & Documentation
- Prepare and submit daily end of shift reports, downtime logs, and shift summaries.
- Maintain batch production records, cleaning logs, and inspection forms for regulatory audits.
- Ensure proper logging of batch sheets for traceability of all raw materials, batches, and finished goods.
G. Continuous Improvement
- Identify and recommend process improvements to increase efficiency, yield, and quality.
- Support lean manufacturing initiatives such as 5S, Kaizen, and OEE tracking.
- Collaborate with engineering, R&D, and quality teams to optimize line performance.
Minimum Requirements:
- Due to state regulations, qualified candidates for this position must be at least 21 years of age and able to pass a fingerprinting background – certain criminal convictions may disqualify candidates based on state medical marijuana licensing regulations.
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Basic math, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Follow direction and execute based on leadership decisions.
- Must be able to promote and work in safe manner, based on SOP and regulations.
- Must be Detail-Oriented. We're in a highly regulated industry and getting things right based on compliance is essential.
- Prior bottling / canning experience preferred.
- The job requires physical activity, including prolonged standing, repetitive bending, climbing, and lifting or moving up to 50lbs (or more with a coworker). Good visual acuity, hand-eye coordination, manual dexterity, and ability to perform repetitive motions with accuracy is required. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
- Forklift experience preferred.

Range: $70,304- $75,000 a year
