We're looking for a reliable full-time kitchen crew member for our fast paced Italian restaurant. Shifts offered for this position are 5 days per week. OT as needed. Thursday- Monday coverage needed. Hours are about 2pm to close or 12pm to close. Weekend and Holiday Availability is a must. English proficiency required and Spanish speaking a plus.
What You’ll Be Doing
As a line cook, you will primarily work on our dinner/sandwich station doing hot and cold sandwiches, pastas and dinners while working alongside our lead dinner cook. We have a heavy takeout business in addition to our dine-in customers. You also will assist with pizzas and prep and end of shift cleaning. Overtime will be available once fully trained. We are seeking a teamwork focused individual who loves the thrill of the rush and enjoys a fast paced dynamic environment.
$$$ Pay depends on experience. Your starting base depends on your skill level. We strongly believe we are all part of a team here so you will earn tips on top of your hourly rate, average is an additional $3.50 per hour!
We have people in our kitchen who have been with us 15-25 years and we just celebrated our 70th year of business!

Line Cook Key Responsibilities
* Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and quality standards
* Set up and maintain your workstation to ensure readiness throughout each shift
* Complete customer orders accurately and in a timely manner
* Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and front-of-house employees to support smooth operations
* Assist with food preparation, inventory, cleaning, and end-of-shift duties
* Contribute to overall kitchen organization and efficiency
* Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures
* Step in where needed to support team success and maintain service standards
Job Requirements
* Must be at least 18 years of age
* Must be able to reliably commute to El Cajon, CA 92021
* Availability to work evenings, weekends, and other scheduled shifts as needed
* Ability to remain standing for extended periods (8hrs+)
* Ability to lift and carry supplies and kitchen items as required (25lb minimum)
* Prior restaurant kitchen experience preferred
*Proficient in English (speaking and reading)
