Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented, reliable Bookkeeper with a proven track record to take
ownership of day-to-day financial tracking and payroll functions across our product
lines. This role requires an experienced professional who excels in a multi-brand
environment, maintains clean financial records, and supports our internal inventory and
sales reporting needs. While a background in beauty, consumer packaged goods
(CPG), or manufacturing financials is a helpful plus, we are primarily focused on finding
a sharp, highly dependable professional who is ready to learn our product portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
- Multi-Brand Management: Maintain precise financial records and books for
multiple product lines and sales channels.
- Systems Management: Ensure general data integrity and streamline day-to-day
operations within our accounting software, primarily using QuickBooks Desktop.
- Core Bookkeeping: Record daily transactions, including accounts payable,
accounts receivable, chargebacks, and general ledger entries.
- Payroll Processing: Manage and process employee payroll accurately, ensuring
proper allocation and strict tax compliance.
- Reconciliations: Regularly reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and merchant
processors (Shopify, Stripe, PayPal).
- Inventory & Cost Metrics: Manage Cost of Goods Sold (COGS), track raw
materials and finished goods inventory, and monitor multi-warehouse fulfillment
expenses.
- Vendor Operations: Process vendor payments (manufacturers, ingredient
suppliers, packaging vendors) and ensure accurate coding of expenses by
specific product line.
- Financial Reporting: Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial
reporting; support cash flow tracking across wholesale and retail channels.
- Tax & Compliance: Assist external CPAs with annual tax preparation, manage
multi-state sales tax compliance, and handle payroll tax regulations.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of dedicated, professional bookkeeping
experience.
- Software: Proficiency with accounting software (QuickBooks Desktop preferred)
and e-commerce merchant platforms.
- Skills: Strong numerical accuracy, excellent organizational habits, and solid
attention to detail.
