Gus's World Famous Fried Chicken in Santa Ana is hiring a Part-Time BOH Shift Leader for immediate start.
We are looking for an experienced kitchen professional who can help lead daily operations while working alongside the team. This is a hands-on position, not an office job. You will be actively working as a Line Cook, Plate Maker, or Shift Leader depending on the needs of the business.
We are looking for someone who is dependable, organized, detail-oriented, and capable of helping ensure the kitchen runs smoothly when management is not present.
Pay: $21.00 per hour
What You'll Do
Prepare food according to company recipes and standards
Work alongside the kitchen team during service
Help ensure food quality and consistency
Monitor inventory and assist with food ordering
Ensure all products are properly labeled, dated, and stored
Verify food safety logs, temperature logs, inventory logs, and operational checklists are completed accurately
Maintain health department and company food safety standards
Assist with inventory counts and ordering procedures
Communicate operational issues to management promptly
Help maintain a clean, organized, and audit-ready kitchen
Assist with opening and closing procedures
What We're Looking For
Minimum 3 years of kitchen experience
Minimum 1 year of restaurant leadership, supervisory, or key-holder experience
Strong attention to detail
Reliable attendance and dependable transportation
Ability to work independently and make sound decisions
Comfortable using email, spreadsheets, and mobile apps
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Food Handler Card required (or ability to obtain upon hire)

Availability
This is a part-time position. Flexible availability is strongly preferred. Candidates who can work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends, will receive priority consideration.
