A leading multi-site healthcare organization is seeking an experienced and strategic Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead the continued growth, operational excellence, and financial performance of a large physician-led enterprise. The organization operates across multiple locations and service lines, including orthopedic care, ambulatory surgery, rehabilitation, and ancillary services.
The CEO will work closely with physician leadership, executive management, and key stakeholders to develop and execute strategic initiatives, drive organizational growth, optimize operations, and ensure exceptional patient care. This individual will provide visionary leadership while balancing physician engagement, financial stewardship, and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the organization's long-term strategic vision and growth initiatives
- Identify opportunities for expansion, acquisitions, partnerships, and new service offerings
- Lead strategic planning efforts and ensure alignment across all business units
- Monitor industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitive market dynamics
- Oversee day-to-day operations across multiple locations and service lines
- Ensure operational consistency, efficiency, and quality across the organization
- Drive process improvement initiatives to enhance patient experience, provider productivity, and financial performance
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) across all operational areas
- Partner with finance leadership to develop and manage annual budgets and financial forecasts
- Drive revenue growth while maintaining strong expense management and operational efficiency
- Monitor organizational performance against financial goals and EBITDA targets
- Evaluate investment opportunities and capital allocation strategies
- Foster strong relationships with physician shareholders, providers, and clinical leaders
- Collaborate with physician leadership to align operational and clinical objectives
- Build consensus among stakeholders while effectively managing organizational change
- Support physician recruitment, retention, and succession planning initiatives
- Recruit, develop, and mentor executive and operational leaders
- Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, and excellence
- Ensure leadership teams are aligned with organizational goals and values
- Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and industry best practices
- Partner with legal, compliance, and human resources teams to mitigate organizational risk
- Present updates and recommendations to ownership, boards, and governance committees as appropriate
