Caltech Precision, Inc. is an established aerospace manufacturing company specializing in complex machined structural components. We operate a large CNC machine shop with approximately 50 machines, including spindle and multiple-spindle vertical CNC machining centers, as well as large 3-spindle, 5-axis Cincinnati gantry machines.
We are seeking experienced 3-axis and 5-axis CNC machinists for both day and night shifts.
Applicants should have a minimum of 3 to 5 years of CNC machining experience,
preferably in aerospace manufacturing.
We manufacture aircraft structural components from a variety of materials,
including aluminum, stainless steel, titanium, and other aerospace alloys.
Qualified applicants should be capable of performing their own setups with minimal supervision, including loading tooling, fixtures, and programs. Applicants must also be able to read
and interpret drawings and sketches, check their own work during the machining process,
and verify part accuracy using standard inspection tools.
Our CNC machines are equipped with Fanuc controls, and our Cincinnati 3-spindle, 5-axis gantry machines are equipped with Fanuc, Cincinnati 950 controls and Siemens 840D Controls
The standard workweek is 50 hours, with additional overtime available, especially on larger
multi-spindle machines.
Applicants must have their own basic tools, including dial indicators, micrometers,
dial calipers, hand tools, and other standard machinist tools.
Employees must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
Heavier items are moved with cranes, forklifts, and team lifting. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable qualified individuals to perform the essential functions of the job
Applicants must be able to pass a drug test.
We will consider CNC operators with less
than 3 years of experience if they have acceptable knowledge of CNC setups,
machine operation, and shop practices.
Bilingual supervision is available.
