This is an immediate hire — training starts Monday (06/08) and field work begins Tuesday (06/09), so we need someone available to start right away. We're seeking a reliable, highly detail-oriented Insurance Property Photographer (no experience necessary) to conduct on-site visits to commercial properties and document building conditions for insurance underwriting. This field-based, independent (1099) role is ideal for someone who enjoys working autonomously and driving locally. One trip per month to Imperial Valley is required and will be well compensated. Attention to detail is essential — underwriters rely on these photos to make decisions, so every inspection must be thorough and accurate. You'll travel to a variety of commercial properties (retail, apartments, offices, and similar) and photograph building exteriors, interiors, and key systems like electrical panels, water heaters, and HVAC units, following a clear photo checklist to ensure every image is clean, complete, and well-organized for reporting. Professional communication with property managers and tenants is needed as well.
A Typical Day:
4–6 inspections per day
2–3 days per week
Flexible days — you choose which days work for you
Each inspection takes 15–30 minutes — most people comfortably complete 1–2 per hour
Requirements:
Strong attention to detail (the most important quality for this role)
Reliable vehicle and a valid driver's license
Comfortable driving to multiple locations per day
Ability to work independently and stay organized
Comfortable with technology — including Google Drive, iPhone apps, and general smartphone use
A recent iPhone model with an unlimited data plan (for uploading photos in the field)
Professional, courteous communication
Ideal Candidate:
Background in real estate, inspections, construction, or photography (a plus, not required)
Enjoys independent, field-based work
Comfortable with brief, professional interactions with business owners and tenants
