Responsibilities
As a teacher at Aspen Leaf, you’ll play a vital role in shaping a joyful and inclusive learning experience. Your responsibilities will include:
- Creating a welcoming, emotionally safe classroom where children feel seen and heard
- Observing and supporting each child’s development through tailored, play-based activities
- Collaborating with families through open, respectful communication about student progress
- Maintaining effective classroom management and upholding school policies
- Contributing to a team culture that values kindness, professionalism, and growth
Requirements
We’re excited to meet educators who bring heart, skill, and a love of learning. Ideal candidates will have:
- Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree (preferred)
- At least 12 units in early childhood education, covering child growth and development, child, family and community, program/curriculum, and infant/toddler curriculum or literacy/art in CD or ECE.
- A strong understanding of early childhood development
- Minimum 6 months of teaching experience in early childhood education (Reggio experience is a plus!)
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative spirit
- Current TB test, LiveScan fingerprint clearance, and First Aid/CPR certification
- Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a federal background check and clearance authorization
