This is an entry level position. Under supervision, the Composites Technician 1 assembles components using their keen hand-eye coordination and subassemblies of all types of composites. Clean components and assemblies. May perform machine set-ups for automated/assisted assembly occasionally, will work with or around degreasers, ovens, spot welders & various small machines/presses.

Technical Skills:
• Light manufacturing and precision crafting such as mechanics tools, riveting, adhesive bonding

• Basic measuring tools (scales, rulers, measuring cups)
• Basic written and spoken English
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
• Learning and performing composites manufacturing including lamination, vacuum bagging, and assembly on spacecraft structures.
• Employing a variety of hand tools to produce manufactured goods.
• Learning and utilizing a variety of technical documents such as specifications, drawings, and technical data sheets to produce flight hardware.
• Recording measurements and data on official documents.
• Using assembly instructions, drawings/process specifications, assembles, welds subassemblies for various relay types to meet specifications
• Uses microscope to visually check subassemblies for completeness/burrs
Education & Experience:
• High school diploma (or equivalent) preferred.
Compensation:
Compensation will be commensurate upon industry standard and level of experience. Based upon strong representation of all skills above, compensation package will be:
