Gossip Grill is San Diego’s premier women’s bar and restaurant, proudly serving the LGBTQ+ community and allies. Known for our high-volume brunches, lively dinners, and late-night crowd, we’re a fast-paced kitchen looking for an experienced dishwasher with strong work ethic, initiative, and respect for our inclusive environment.
Position Details:
Job Title: Dishwasher
Schedule: Part-time (weekends, evenings, and holidays required)
Compensation: $19 per hour +tips
Benefits: Paid sick time, vacation accrual, and employee meal discounts
Location: Hillcrest, San Diego, CA
Job Responsibilities:
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen environment
- Strong attention to cleanliness, organization, and sanitation standards
- Ability to stand for long periods (up to 8 hours) and perform repetitive tasks
- Capable of lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs (cases, racks, trash bins, etc.)
- Willingness to handle cleaning chemicals and follow safety guidelines
- Reliable, punctual, and able to maintain consistent attendance
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Team-oriented mindset with good communication skills
- Ability to follow directions and complete tasks efficiently without constant supervision
- Comfortable working in hot, wet, and noisy conditions
Qualifications:
Minimum 2 year dishwashing experience
Strong work ethic, reliability, and ability to self-manage
