About the Role
Our front desk is set within the parlor — the heart of the property, where guests gather, settle in, and take in the Albion experience. As a Parlor Host / Front Desk Agent, you are the first face guests see when they arrive: welcoming them into the parlor, orienting them to the property, and setting the tone for a memorable stay. You are also the steady hand behind check-ins, reservations, and guest requests throughout the shift.
This role reports to the General Manager and the Director of Operations.
Knowledge, Experience, and Skill
- 2 to 3 years of front desk or guest services experience; boutique hotel experience strongly preferred
- A polished, professional service style and a genuine commitment to elevated hospitality and meaningful guest engagement
- Detail-oriented, with the ability to multi-task and problem-solve in a fast-paced environment
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Operational knowledge of Microsoft Office; familiarity with Cloudbeds (PMS), Flexkeeping, and Akia, or the ability to learn these platforms quickly
- Familiarity with hotel products and guest services
- Knowledge of the Summit area and the desire to share local recommendations with guests
- A team player who contributes to a positive, collaborative environment
Essential Job Responsibilities
Guest Experience
- Welcome arriving guests in the parlor and lobby with professionalism and warmth; set the tone for the stay from the moment they walk through the door
- Maintain a polished, attentive presence in the parlor, keeping the space welcoming and on-standard for a boutique property
- Serve as a knowledgeable ambassador for Felina, the Whiskey Lounge, our event spaces, and the Albion experience as a whole
- Provide concierge-level recommendations for dining, shopping, and attractions in Summit and the surrounding area
- Communicate effectively with the Felina and Whiskey Lounge teams to support a seamless guest experience
Front Desk Operations
- Handle check-ins and check-outs in a friendly, efficient, and courteous manner
- Manage and modify reservations; respond to guest inquiries by phone, email, and in person
- Operate all relevant aspects of Cloudbeds, Flexkeeping, Akia, and other property systems
- Log and deliver packages, mail, and messages to guests and meeting rooms
- Deliver guest items such as luggage, amenities, and other requested items
- Comply at all times with property policies, standards, and regulations to support safe and efficient operations
- Have knowledge of and assist in emergency procedures as required
- Perform other duties as assigned, including supporting coworkers in other areas of the hotel and maintaining a clean, organized work area
Availability
- Open availability required, including weekends, holidays, and shift coverage as needed
Physical Requirements
- Ability to perform the essential job functions consistently, safely, and successfully, in line with the ADA and all applicable federal, state, and local standards
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 lbs
- Ability to stand for the duration of the shift and climb steps regularly
- Ability to physically maneuver through work areas; bend, lift, carry, reach above shoulder height, and otherwise move comfortably in a constantly changing environment
