Medical Billing Company located in Huntington Beach is looking for a medical biller with at least 2-3 years of experience. Applicants must understand insurance benefits, including: deductibles, co-pays, co-insurance, out of pocket maximums, prior authorizations, and must be proficient in billing all types of insurances, including Medicare, Medicaid, Workers’ Comp, Liens, HMO's and PPO's, and have experience posting manual and ERA payments.
Candidates must be able to recognize and immediately address incorrect, underpaid and denied claims and be organized and efficient with claims follow-up. They should have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and effectively communicate with clients, and patients regarding balances due. Candidates must be proficient with computer applications as this is a near paperless office. They should have the desire to learn and seek knowledge. Applicants must be honest, hard-working, team players with a professional attitude, and positive energy. Must have excellent references available prior to interview. Bilingual in English and Spanish a plus. Credentialing experience a plus. This is not a remote position.
Daily duties: entering patient demographics and billing, checking claims status online and by phone, posting and balancing manual and ERA payments and patient payments, appealing claims, calling patients regarding past due balances and setting up payment plans, and answering questions from clients and patients.
